R&R Hotel Photos from Sunday night

February 24, 2010

Many thanks again to official band photo dude Brandon Jones for making us look all important. I assume, given the cool factor of these pictures, that he spent a fair amount of time Photoshopping in some indie-rock sensibilities, especially on me and Arwen, who get dressed up for shows like we’re going outside to rake leaves.

rock and roll hotel, the video

February 23, 2010

Feathers and the sound guy at the Rock and Roll Hotel were smart/cool/nice enough to get us a combination of audio from both the sound board, and the room — and that means we’ve got a video with some halfway decent audio for you. This particular clip is of “Dale Does Drugs”, a song it seems like we’ve been working on forever, but finally debuted on Sunday night.

We’ve got the entire show, more or less, so maybe we’ll add some more songs as we go through them. But the important thing is that if you want to see it in person (which, I’m told, is much better), you need to get yourself out to Jammin Java next week and experience it for yourself.

And don’t worry, my singing will improve by then. I was just practicing in the car this morning, in fact. I’d work on bass at the same time, but I’m pretty sure that’s even more dangerous than text messaging.

Rock N Roll Hotel: ROCKED!

February 22, 2010

Holy ba-jeezus, that was a great show at the Rock N Roll Hotel tonight. Thanks to everyone for showing up on a Sunday night (I promised you’d be back before midnight!) and for Power Pirate, Where Winston Stood and Deville for helping us rock the joint!

I recorded our show straight from the soundboard, so perhaps a bit of live Elementary material will be hitting the web – keep an eye out. See you guys March 2nd!

Big Sunday Show!

February 15, 2010

Soooooo we’ve got a weekend show planned this Sunday. And it’s at the famous Rock & Roll Hotel, the scene of the greatest Elementary gig in our short career!

The show will start off with the awesome Power Pirate at 6:30pm. Then comes our new friends Where Winston Stood followed by our old friends DeVille. We’ll go on last, but certainly not too late!

It’s only $10 to see 4 bands, which is pretty unbeatable. And because our last show was cancelled, this one will be the debut of THREE NEW ELEMENTARY TUNES!

See you there
